Students who succeed to the entrance exam, can follow nursing studies and have access to a career in Nursing. A career in Nursing follows the progress of medical and scientific research whilst adapting to changes in society. An exciting yet demanding job, it now relies on multi-professionalism.

A nurse analyses, organizes and dispenses medical prescriptions and, if permitted to, administers medical care in order to protect, maintain, restore and promote health among patients. In order to provide preventive, curative or palliative care, a nurse must demonstrate technical qualities, as well as relational and psychological qualities, and show a great adaptability to maximize teamwork. It is a broad profession because it offers multiple routes of specialisation and progression. The nurses job also involves activities related to education, training, coaching, and health and sanitary precautions.

Course Format

Classes are held from October to March, for 21 weeks. They are held twice a week, to give students the time and opportunity to do a work placement during the rest of the week.

Classes take place on Thursdays and Fridays.

Internships are spread across the length of the course (either chosen by the student or suggested by IPAC). Doing an internship alongside classes can allow students to gain an understanding of the realities of the profession, and it will make them more capable of discussing professional topics during interviews during the admission process.

Together, the work placement and the internship make up around 35 hours per week.
